thanks to everyone for all the emails and text messages concerning last night’s show. I truly appreciate the support, man that was a tough competition! Mark one in the win column for charleston..
I think John Besh should figure out what soul means. As far as im concerned getting up every morning and going to your garden to tend to your vegetables, pigs, and whatever other project your working on is the definition of putting your heart and soul into your food. Not to mention it was a contemporary food competition. Thanks for all the inspiration and congrats on the win.
Can I borrow 10 bucks?
Congratulations, Sean. That was a great show, and you represented to the fullest. Your sense of restraint while navigating between smart executional techniques and going too far off into the unkown was perfect. The balance was the key winning point on so many levels.
I would say that you bridged the gap between the ‘mad scientist’ image of modern chefs that some people have and quintessential nature itself, but you didn’t just bridge them… you showed everyone that there is absolutely no distance between the two worlds. It’s all nature.
Awesome. Hoped you had some good bourbon after that win. Milk it.
I watched and was so proud – I had actually forgotten about you winning and so I was on the edge of my seat for the whole show. Congrats again! PS those pigs are HUGE – even Wilbur – I’d like so see someone catch one now 🙂
Congratulations on the win. I’m a sous chef in Dallas Tx and I look to your site for inspiration all the time. Your’re bringing a national eye towards all the culinary genius in the south. Thanks for waht you do.
That’s My Nephew!! Congratulations and Kudos! Your family loves you and is bursting with pride. I saw the photo of you with the box of beautiful tomatoes and I envied you (in a good way). I wonder if you remember the ones your great aunt Versia used to grow.
Keep your hands dirty.
man i didn’t know where it was going at the begining…nice work chef, you def deserved that win.
